With P4mm flexible
led screen, DesignLED Technology (HK) Co Ltd had installed a screen in New York
University months ago, which is the first screen used in the school area as
digital signage for presentation and advertisement.
1. Structure
After the design
was checked, and the wall will be installed front of wall in a lobby.
Furthermore it requested very slim screen body and backside only have 1’’ space,
so we have to design an easy operation structure to meet the need of front access
service.
First, to make an
easy connection of cables, we have to consider it have some punching holes big
enough. And we have to think about how to fix the power supply units and
receiving card, though power supply units could be put away from screen max
30m, considering to have less cable , it is better to put them backside. Plus
fix data box backside as well, the total thickness of this screen is around 40mm,
which is very slim at all.

Electronics.
If the structure
was well solved, then it will be very easy for electronics. As they are
standard flexible led tiles, 256mm x 192mm x 8mm, weight 0.35kg, convex and concave
features, easily handle in the hand and assembled. When we design the PCB
board, we will consider a few factors:
1). Component
selection, A new product to be mature had to be experiences a lot of version to
be improved from its appearance and design. To keep the good quality, we
already choose the quality component like Cree/Nichia up to demands, Neutrik,
Meanwell, JST, UL power/Data cables etc.
2). Blanking
circuit technology, which will eliminate the ghost on the screen, means un-lighting areas are lighting
on the led screen when whole system powers on to cause some problems, affecting
the screen quality.
3). Calibration, which is used when the screen will
be used for a few years, the screen quality is not good enough, the Calibration
will be a good option to solve the problem.
It is a must in LED screen industry.
4). Fire-Proof, mask of led tiles
are rubber, so it will be easy to cause fire. To avoid this situation, we have send
our mask in SGS to have a fire test and get a certification of fire-proof, it
is safe.
5). EMC approval, means electronic equipment’s
will not disturb other devices and not be disturbed by others as well. EMC
refers to safety of people and environment protection. Our products were
already designed circuits with EMC consideration and other solutions to avoid
EMC to disturb others, especially it is very important to be used in Broadcast,
Public Places, and Rental market etc.
